Ties Petersen.

The problems worth caring about are rarely the easy ones. I'm most excited by problems that are complex, impactful, and still unsolved. If that's something you're working on, let's talk!

About me.

I'm Ties, and as you can probably tell by my site's clean aesthetic, I believe the best solutions are the simplest ones. I enjoy building software that functions reliably and feels simple, even when the underlying problem is complex.

That mindset, combined with a love for focus, creative problem-solving and doing things well, carries through in everything I do: from writing about computer science concepts, to automating the boring parts of life, to optimizing my training for boulderingRock climbing without ropes..

Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

I'm currently studying Computer Science and Engineering at TU/eEindhoven University of Technology., while learning everything about algorithm design and engineering.
